Matthew 5:44

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you...

When was the last time you loved your enemies?  I mean REALLY loved your enemies.  When Jesus instructed us to love our enemies, this was more than just a command to tolerate or learn how to "get along".  The verb form of love is "to like very much; to find pleasure in." Unfortunately many of our personal definitions of what it means to love our enemies have fallen very short from the love that Jesus commands us to show.  Watch the short video below:

As you go through your day today, strive to mend bridges and close the gaps between you and your enemies rather than distancing yourself from them.  Really challenge yourself to go out of your way to love them the way that Christ calls you to.  Who knows, behind the walls of bitterness and anger may be a ministry opportunity waiting to happen!  My prayer for you today is that the Holy Spirit would give you the strength and courage to humble yourself and love those who have hurt you...
